The postoperative dressing is intended mainly for treating postoperative wounds at home after discharge from the hospital. It can be also used for other minor wounds, cuts and abrasions. It should only be used in accordance with the instructions included in the packaging. Fixopore F is a sterile dressing on a special film* backing material with a centrally located absorbent pad that absorbs wound exudate. The absorbent pad is covered with an atraumatic mesh, which prevents the pad from sticking to the wound and sutures, making it possible to conveniently and easily change the dressing, what is especially important when dressing postoperative wounds.
Hypoallergenic glue does not sensitise or irritate. The applied adhesive enables gentle and painless removal of the edges of the dressing from the skin. The edges of the dressing are rounded so that they do not detach prematurely from the patient's skin. Polyurethane film is successfully used to dress hard-to-heal wounds due to its unique properties: it is flexible, breathable and drains water vapour from the skin.
The application of the dressing is very easy - just remove the numbered protective papers one by one, which indicate the order in which they are to be removed.
